The FLIR IRP-1 port helps to improve worker safety and electrical inspection efficiency—all while reducing the installation costs associated with using thermal cameras to inspect indoor electrical cabinets. Designed to support quick and precise connection with a FLIR 80° lens (T300805), this lens-free port allows technicians to survey switchgear and other enclosed equipment carrying the risk of arc flash without the need to open the cabinet, greatly reducing the risk of arc flash injury. Technicians can execute predictive maintenance inspections faster, reducing the time needed to take on and off heavy arc-flash PPE, remove and replace electrical panels, and adjusting thermal camera settings to account for IR window transmission.

Inspect energized electrical equipment quickly without opening the panel door and compromising safety
Great imaging without the need to stop and input transmission and IR window temperature correction factors.
Helps companies comply with electrical codes (e.g. NFPA 70B) requiring direct line of sight inspection of all electrical equipment.
